Service process

How a Toronto Plumbing Request Moves from Symptom to Scope

The process separates request intake, zone assessment, work authorization and closeout so the customer can see what is known at each stage.

How Toronto Plumbing Requests Are Reviewed
01

1. Describe the affected fixture and consequence

The request records the first affected fixture, other related symptoms, floor, property type, active water, shut-off and cleanout access. It also records whether the condition is isolated, recurring or linked to rainfall or another fixture.

02

2. Classify the likely plumbing zone

The information is mapped to the fixture and trap, one-room branch, building stack, lowest building drain, private sewer lateral or water-supply distribution. This is an initial route hypothesis, not a remote diagnosis.

03

3. Confirm access and a proportionate starting scope

A starting scope identifies the access point and method that can answer the next question. Camera inspection, cable work, leak testing, fixture disassembly or component replacement is not selected from a slogan; it follows the observed pattern and safe access.

04

4. Record findings, changes and closeout test

The work should distinguish observed conditions from inference. Changes to scope are explained. Closeout records state what was done, what test was performed, any remaining limitation and what symptom should trigger follow-up.
